Since the beginning of 2017, spot prices of PMMA in Southeast Asia and China have been rising continuously since the beginning of 2017 due to the stimulation of the upstream MMA market price.

According to Amritsar’s data, PMMA prices in Asia rose to about 2,750 U.S. dollars / ton (CFR South East Asia) from about 2,075 U.S. dollars / ton (CFR South East Asia) in early 2017 to about 37%.

Meanwhile, according to Amx, the spot price of PMMA in China rose 40% to US $ 2,840 / tonne (CFR China) from Dec. 21 of US $ 2,025 / tonne (CFR China) in December 2017.

However, market participants said that in the new year, the spot price of PMMA in Asia may drop, probably because the MMA market began to weaken and PMMA supply increased.
